About the Journal
The abbreviation of the journal Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences, founded in 2025, is 'VZS'. Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that accepts original research, case reports or review articles in the fields of Veterinary Medicine (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pathology Microbiology, Virology, Biochemistry, Histology and Embryology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Reproduction and Artificial Insemination, Parasitology, Anatomy, Pharmacology, Veterinary Genetics, Food Hygiene and Technology, Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases, Laboratory Animals) and Zootechnics (Animal Husbandry and Breeding, Feed Information and Animal Nutrition, Aquaculture, Beekeeping). VZS is subject to a double-blind peer review system. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. VZS is a completely free journal and there are no printing, membership, etc. fees. During the journal publication submission process, it is mandatory to fill out the copyright form with a wet signature and upload it to the system. Copyright form can be downloaded from the author guide templates section on the home page. The similarity report of the submitted articles must be uploaded to the system. During the article upload process, you are asked to specify the content of the file for each file added. The content of the file must be selected during upload. When uploading the copyright, title page, and similarity report together with the article, the type of the file must be specified separately in the 'other' section. The relevant field must be selected when each file is uploaded. The required information during the upload process is the article, title page, copyright form, and similarity rate. Additionally, all required information (author information, corresponding author, references, etc.) must be uploaded to the system in its entirety. Research studies conducted on animals require ethics committee approval. For additional studies or studies conducted on invertebrates, etc., that do not require ethics clearance, it is important to provide us with a statement stating that no ethics committee is required, or to state this in the article.
Artificial intelligence tools may only be used to check articles submitted to the journal for grammatical errors, spelling errors, and style consistency. Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences is committed to not using artificial intelligence tools at any stage of the article evaluation process. Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences adopts the Ethical Guidelines for the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence, prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
It should be understood that all responsibility for the data generated as a result of the use of artificial intelligence rests with the author. The confidentiality and security of personal data must be protected. Necessary security measures must be taken during data collection, storage, and processing. Artificial intelligence should not be included in footnotes or references. The use of artificial intelligence must be stated in the ethical declaration.
We would like to remind you that in the event of a violation of the above issues, all responsibility belongs to the author.
