The journal is an international, open access, fully free publication and operates under a double-blind peer-review process. All accepted manuscripts are published under the CC BY 4.0 license.
Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences (VZS) supports the principles of transparency, reproducibility, and openness in scientific research and encourages authors to make the data underlying their published findings available whenever appropriate.
Authors are encouraged to deposit research data, datasets, codes, protocols, and other supporting materials in recognized public or institutional repositories before or at the time of publication.
Where research data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual restrictions, authors should clearly state the reason within the manuscript.
The Editorial Office may request access to the underlying research data during the peer-review or editorial evaluation process when necessary to verify the reported results.
Data sharing is encouraged but is not a mandatory requirement for publication in Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences (VZS).

All submitted manuscripts are assigned to the appropriate Section Editor according to their subject area. The Section Editor independently manages the peer-review process and makes the editorial decision based on the reviewers' reports. The Editor-in-Chief oversees the journal's publication policies, ethical standards, and academic quality without participating in these independent editorial decisions.
